Tech-support, how may I help you?

Today I was booted out of my cubicle by one of our programmers. He had to use my WinXP 'puter because it was the 'puter on which i managed to duplicate a problem reported during a tech call yesterday. The whole issue has to do with IE (which sucks) and actually, this post is REALLY meant to be about getting to play with the big giant Mac and all my brand spanking new applications... one silly program that came with the Mac is called Photobooth. Photobooth lets you snap pictures of yourself sitting in front of the computer (Oh joy!) and apply certain canned effects if you like. So using Photobooth, Photoshop, and Imageready I made the above compilation I call "Tech-Support." Cheers!

Speaking of entertaining... After you mentioned Rilke I did a search... and then I found this website of artful movies made by a fellow, Antero Alli and his wife(?) Sylvi Alli... The movie that drew my attention is one called "The Greater Circulation" which is based on Rainer Maria Rilke’s “Requiem for a Friend”... looks real interesting!

i mean NOT the honey part... of course I'm ALL about honey...I'm talking about the work part. Hardly workin...yep, remember YOUR the one who works...I just sit and pick my nose and take a lot of smoke breaks...but ALWAYS walk around the building looking perplexed by some troublesome problem so that people think I'm actually working on something.

Shhh.... You're supposed to keep that a secret. It also helps to quietly mutter stuff about unbounded arrays and router configurations - so that nobody tries to ask you point blank what you're working on.

HILARIOUS!

Keep a tape measure with you at all times. You never know when you might need to "measure" something ya know. We see all the contractors walking around all day looking important. You can get away with anything if you're holding a clip board and tape measure!

Gordy, thanks for the really nice card and the coffee. I can't post on your website so I'll thank you here. That was truly sweet.

"...unbounded arrays and router configurations..." okay! I think I can do that! :) or at the very least I can honestly look perplexed while uttering those words! Most definitely tape measures are in order.

I'm off to shovel parrot poo for some ungrateful feathered things now...cheers~!

You taking that tape measure with you for the poo cleanup?

Michael-Ann said...
