Pvt. Tillman

Gordy and I are quite happy this morning because we received a call from G Jr. He had not been in Iraq very long before his company advanced to a new unsettled location about two weeks ago. We had not heard a word from him since. The call this morning was very brief and the connection was crappy. We are quite relieved to have heard his voice. He told us that he thinks he has a mailing address to give us and will send a letter today with the information.

When it rains it pours and today it is a good pour because the Virtual Family Readiness Group has sent out images of his company in Iraq.

The image I'm including is of their living quarters covered in dust from an afternoon sandstorm sometime just after they had set up in their new location.

I'm glad he was able to get thru to you.

That tent city looks like something out of a science fiction movie about a settlement on an alien planet ...

Oh my - why couldn't our government have displayed a greater wisdom about this whole foolish, disasterous drill? Fools rush in where wisemen .......

Please let me know when you hear from him.

My brother did time with the invasion . . and I really feel for anyone who has family or friends there. Stress was off the earthquake scale in-between e-mails.

Been angry a lot, but haven't really hated very much in this life, I do however, hate the occupant(s) of the White House, because like this war, he, et.al., brings out the worst in us all.

Had anything happened to my brother, I would have flown to Iraq and committed genoicide on an entire country -- and that's who is sitting on the throne of Washington, someone who would bring such a thing out in me.

There is only one right thing to do . . arrest the occupants of the White House and their co-conspirators for an illegal war, crimes against humanity, and fraud.

In the interim of that never happenging . .

Well wishes from here to there, and to you, because I know you'll sigh and bite your tongue sometimes . . as their morale takes a higher priority than our rage against the machine.

We sent care packages to my brother almost weekly because they weren't adequately supplied to be there . . little stuff helps, cooling packs, bandanas to tie against your face, etc. Anything I can do to help, say so.

Thank you Richard... The war stuff is just so hopelessly horrible I can't find the words- accept for I will never forgive Bush and his good buddies for the legacy they have dumped in the laps of Americans. I hate him too.

On another note I have good news as of moments ago that I need to post.
