I learned about this over in Art News Blog... Somebody is saying they are going to put a giant banana in space over Texas. I would really like to see this come to fruition.
I would've expected this in some place like L.A. or maybe even Rio, but Texas?
I think the biggest question is what stage of ripeness is appropriate. Ms. Chiquita used to proclaim the virtues of slightly spotty, but I think with such large uhm 'visibility', it should probably be spotless. Then again watching it decay could be interesting.
I am going to send this to all my friends who watched The Best of DavidLynch.com with me. Our catchphrase for the last week has been "Where are the bananas?"

In terms of importance I would put this project on par with a mission to mars.
