Dinner went very well. Some very interesting folks. I did end up doing my prep/cooking there. All the woman helped me though and there was a lot of chatting and a good bit of laughter. One couple was from Taiwan and the other from China, they cooked some great Chinese-style dishes that put my little tarts to shame ;-)
The kitchen is very big at their place and at one point everyone one was in it preparing/cooking stuff for a total of eight people in the kitchen all at once busy cooking and no one bumped into anyone - pretty amazing.
Here's the breakdown of the final menu: - Stir-fry Shrimp with peas - Stir-fry chicken with celery and tofu - Fried walnut-crusted chicken - Grilled salmon - Eggplant steamed in fish & oyster sauce - Sauteed Bok choy - Homemade bread - Egg custard tarts - Cantaloupe wrapped with prosciutto - Chocolate-dipped strawberries
Someone brought fresh coconuts and showed us how to open them fairly easy so as to put a straw through the opening and drink the juice right from the coconut... that was pretty neat.

I just love this :) I would love to explore your gardens, you have such a fun creativity among all your plants.
How did your dinner go?
