Dad told me he felt kind of bad giving you all those as he knew what a huge amount of work they represented, but he's so happy with all the information etc. you've come up with.
Is that a cut-out in the middle of the men? What a funny picture!
Hey M-A
It didn't take you long! It's like opening a "Time Capsule". It is such a strange feeling to look into the face of your father in far away places for the first time.... Thank You.
Cheryl, I admit... when I first took a look at all the little negatives was a little overwhelmed, but it faded away quickly and was replaced with anticipation :-)
I am fascinated with all these pictures. I love being able to peer into Grandpa's world. Thank you for trusting me with all these.
Last night I was so curious about what sort of quality image I could get from these smaller 35mm negs. When I discovered there were also positive proofs I couldn't resist taking a look. I couldn't stop last night, was at it until after 1am (late fer me these days!)
As a gift, Gordy ordered a scanner that supposedly does a good job with negatives. He thinks I will get even better images from the negs (meaning I would likely be replacing all these if thats the case) - Even though last nights efforts may be wasted, I still think it is worth it to get a preview.
Dad, I imagine it is kinda wild for you to see these... I have to say, the bits of your Dad's personality that reveal themselves through all these photos really make you and him so much more alike to me.
