Berkley Heights NJ... the scent of Jergens hand-lotion wafts through the chilled night-air. I don't know where or how or when or what anyone had to do to get this for me, but I am intensly aware that sacrifices were made on my behalf.
I'm about six years old, living with my mom at her mother's house.
I have a beautiful camel hair coat.
It's like a major peanut-butter and mayonnaise sandwich, only you wear it instead of eating it.
Thank you

I miss my sock monkey.
Oh! You know what? I happen to have a spare sock monkey here in a closet left behind by one of the girls when they moved out... I could send it to you. :-)
Cool!! That would be awesome :)
The ones you see nowadays don't have the watermelon slice red butt...an integral part of the sock monkey!!
I've missed a lot by my self-styled exile from the e-neighborhood .....
Your mention of my mother's Jergens lotion gave me an instant image of my mother's bottle of it and the smell of it also!
You were and are very welcome for the little coat. But it was planned for and budgeted for - you needed a grown-up coat for yourself instead of the usual toddler's style coat!
I remember feeling like it was a grown-up coat, sort of a rite of passage into my "not a baby any more" stage... this was probably about the time everyone decided it was time to hand over my tricycle to Heidi because I was too big for it ;-)
I'm glad you commented here, I just remembered I have a monkey to mail!
