Jamie's work on the Colbert Report

My youngest daughter has been helping do some things for NJ's ex senator Bill Bradley (he is promoting his book: The New American Story) One of the odd tasks she has been challenged with was designing Mr. Bradley's version of Colbert's Americone ice cream for a prop.

Until the show She had no way of knowing if the prop would be used or not. We all sat around last night watching and in the last couple of seconds Mr. Bradley whipped it out! We all hooted and hollered when we saw the ice cream container... quite exciting.

G recorded the segment and uploaded it to YouTube:

p.s. Hey Jamie! I hope you had that plastic sheet covering the couch :)

We learned this afternoon that Viacom contacted YouTube and had the video yanked. Apparently, now we are directly famous for copyright violation!

Had no idea what we did was a no no... until we received a not-so-happy email from YouTube about our infraction.

Got our pudgy little hands smacked and will behave like the good mom and dad we should be!

eek!

Good Grief !!!

You never claimed that it was anything but Comedy Central material - that wasn't explicitly stated but sure was implicitly obvious. I hope there's no more fallout beyond the YouTube email ......

P.S. I kept forgetting to send a "CONGRATULATION" to Jamie - what fun!!

That is so cool!

I haven't been able to fins Americone Dream around here anywhere. Now I'll redouble my efforts.

Good Grief!! I sure hope the mess I see on this comment page is something that Blogger has done and NOT my computer being really screwed up!

But now to the original reason I came here ...

I'm registering a complaint about all the time you are spending out in SL and not paying any attention to your folks here in RL !!!

Get your tail-feathers and typing finger-tips over to this Real World - at least just a little bit ..... we want to have some time with you!

Hey Mom :) It may seem like I spend a lot of time in SL because I am not spending so much time in my RL blog... but I feel thoroughly chastised :)

I think I have been in a state of ongoing depression for some time and truth be known, it has left me feeling unable or unwilling to venture amongst people... at first I thought SL might help me get the ball rolling with interacting, but it hasn't really... I think my circle is drawing closer in. Not sure what to do about it and being that it really isn't life-threatening I am not compelled to waste time or money on getting counseling.

Love you bunches!

We all go thru cycles of wanting to more, then less of participating with all the complexities of the folks around us, for sure.

I know this might sound superficial, but make sure that you are taking a solid balance of vitamins and minerals to keep a good healthy base - it helps.

Before I retired, I had this little saying about the demands of my job - The beat goes on and I can't blow my whistle for a "time-out". This helped me acknowledge that the unrelenting pressures weren't life-threatening and made it easier to keep working for my goals. Hope this helps a little.

Love ya and hang in there ....
