I'll take the CHEESE (and the bacon for that matter) - throw in that box o' crackers and yas got yourself a deal! Goodness, I'm flattered with all this bribery to get me to post. I just wish I had something to say that would make all your efforts worth while!
I stole from time this morning - slept in until eleven o'clock. Came upstairs to my smoking/painting place for that always splendid first hot cup of coffee and a nasty cigarette...i'm writing this blurry-eyed and still within the realm of my sleepy disjointed thoughts.
I was having great dreams this morning as I attempted to remain asleep as long as i could get away with. For some reason one of my favorite morning pastimes is to lay there in bed after slowly waking up and sort through my dreams categorically reviewing what parts were based on real stuff and what parts should be relegated to fantasy.
I have this belief that it is our dream world that has the potential to make the reality of our really old age (like nursing home age) at the least tolerable, at best a splendid limitless "2nd life."

The Morning After Jerkiness
It has been that slow creep from silent defense shields in place to tiny snippets of less awkward conversation sometimes accompanied by an o...

As you can clearly see Humprey was looking dapper this morning when I checked on him on the way out the door for work. Stealing yet another...

Wahooo! There you be! You simply can't talk about your uterus crawling off & dying, then disappear. It is forbidden. (Check the by-laws of bloggerdom).
We've missed you.
This dream manipulation stuff is interesting - every once in a while I can do that lucid dreaming thing - talk about some fun fantasy!!
Last night was really cold - the coldest here in 16 years according to the local weather reports - I fell asleep on the sofa, snuggled up under a blanket and awoke around 2AM with a 3-cat and 1-dog coverlet added - I was really pinned down. They all grumped at me disturbing them when I had to get up to make a you-know-what run to the back of the house .....
As my dreams are usually filled with horrible beasties intent upon doing me what I assume is severe bodily harm, I try to avoid them these days. But I used to relish them, for the longest time when I was a kid I was convinced that I could fly because my dreams were so incredibly vivid...I can still to this day remember a snippet of a dream that entailed me flying over a schoolbus...maybe there is still a small part of me that thinks maybe I did...
Yeah! The flying ones are definitely my favorite of all!
Wow. Well I've been dreaming about water for about two years. Lots of interesting interpretations about that. Most of them involve normal activities with everything looking like Venice or Amsterdam. Then, a psychic that comes to our market, whom I believe in very much...because of some things she said to me that she couldn't have known, told me that (without me having mentioned my dreams) she and a bunch of other mediums are all being told to leave Houston before the Fall of 2007 or '08. Forget which, because a natural disaster will put the whole city under water! They are taking it serious enough that most of them are moving out of town! Austin seems to be the safest place. Michael-Ann, Humble will be beach front property! Or under water too! Run away Run away!
Yikes!
Hey! If that happens Gordy and I can do a sequel to the Titanic up here in the balcony :)
Better get that boat upright and attach a sail too!
Allrighty then, you guys might think I'm crazy shivering up here on my mountain top..and you might wonder why I hang on to this big decrepit house..but, one day, this might be the best beachfront property yet.
THAT is just one of the reasons I want to stay on yer good side! Ya wanna be roommates??????
As long as you stay on your side. Ok, deep breath, I'm going to ask...did they love me or hate me. What was the feedback on the painting?
All the feedback I got was great! The only "crit" i got was from a friend, Terry Mehaffey, who mentioned that he didn't like the drips... because of some bad associations with Jackson Pollock - I'm okay with that!
Terry bought my painting of the "Wrestlers" at my solo show. He surprised me with that because all the past conversations that he and I had were about the women I like to paint. I felt a personal challenge to paint the ONE female portrait that would entice him into getting one of my paintings, instead he got the one of the two men in tights :) - makes me smile to this day thinking about it.
Terry mentioned that he is an Art History Major...which I took selfish personal delight in because he actually likes some of my work.
Goddamit, those swedish ancestors won out over me. Ok, so much for my broody look. Mom tells me I need to smile in my profile picture...damn, men in tights...hmmm...maybe I can wear tights...oh hell no. Anyway, it's always good when you sell a painting so congrats.
Suddenly I'm questioning my gender, instead of that somber staid woman I should be a swedish wrestler! That is why I've been a malcontent in my own life all these years! Damn Art is a harsh mistress!
no no no! Terry got that painting back in July during my solo show! None of my paintings sold at the Imbued show :) But hey, if you feel the need to slide on some tights, make sure you get pics and send them to me... I feel another painting coming on!
I didn't mean your painting of me, I meant the real me. And there is no way I'd inflict such a painful visual of me in tights upon you. You'd never recover.
You are such a nut sometimes! :) Top o'the morn to you!
Whew, I was afraid I hurt your feelings. I get so tired of being me sometimes. Anyway, good morning back to you!
Tights, Swedish Wrestling, beachfront property...wow! What kind of coffee are y'all drinkin? What color are the tights?
Hmmm, mine look kinda reddish brown, oops, nope, I guess I just forgot to shave my legs this morning. Sorry about that.
No really, I am very sorry about that.
Jumping Jeehosiphat !!!!
