Oil Painter's Journal: Color Mixing Secrets

I read this artist's blog every day, today he has a great post regarding his personal thoughts on the "science" of color-mixing. After a few passes through this post it still reads like a koan, but i am determined to make sense of it none the less.

There's no koan here - the poor guy's slightly addle-pated from smelling the fumes coming off all those paint color mixes ....

The real koan is no less than our "gift" of self-awareness - talk about something that makes us go bonkers trying to figure things out ....

For sure .... A couple of times, it got a little tedious but mostly it was just as advertised - funny, quirky, sad, thoughtful - beautiful music and beautiful photography!! The opening scene had the flames on the orange going backwards, a most interesting effect .....

Would you like to borrow (notice I said BORROW) the dvd - I'll mail it to you .....
