I would love to go see this in person. It seems odd that this plant appears to be a single humongous bloom sticking out of a pot.

Hey! Good morning to youuu. I just had a look at the photo set the Museum has on flickr, and she did bloom. Although the flower never seemed to really open fully if you ask me. The horticulturist in charge of caring for the flower states that some varieties of corpse flowers do not open fully. Obviously, I have never sat and watched any Corpse flowers blooming, I have watched blooms develop in the yard, and as I looked at the pics in their set it just didn't seem as though the flower was as hearty as it could have been - as if the conditions just weren't good enough. I think since the internal temps of the flower nearly reached those of a human being (and she was getting pretty stinky) is how they can say she actually bloomed.
