I'm confused - where does the Swedish part come in?
Grandma Belin apparently had no Swedish in her - other than at least 2 confirmed instances with Herbert Julius ;-)
Swedish lineage is via Dad's Dad... I would say that even though Herbert Julius was born in Brooklyn, both his parents were 100% Swedish, making Herbert Julius 100% Swedish, and Dad 50%. The rest of Dad (and his offspring) seem to be a delightful international potpourri.... Well, that is my story and I'm sticking to it.
I would have liked to prove the "Belin coming from France to escape the French Revolution" thing. Somehow, ladies underwear manufacturing and weight-lifters just aren't satisfying enough - need some intrigue!
