...BUTT, I just happened to read these words again whilst rummaging through the bathroom library here at work. Casting aside all personal opinions of the originating point of this glimmering bit of wisdom, here it is (again) for ya'll:
"There are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know that there are known unknowns. That is to say, we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don't know we don't know."
Amazing.

therefore: what you don't know you don't know, keeps one moving forward to make new discoveries and obtain new knowledge to make what you didn't know you didn't know, now known. :)
I think motherhood is a good example of that. We all fret we won't know what to do--and I guess all the advise from family, friends and books is useful--it seems a lot of the times we just know what to do.
Of course there are also times we don't have a clue:)

Was just quoting today something I read long ago . . if the end of knowledge for a fish begins at the surface, how can a fish conceptualize space? It's a fair assessment that we too might have limitations to our understanding of what is.
