my thoughts are like toads
some times I can embrace them
and they become magical things
other times i embrace them
and they just piss on me.

The Morning After Jerkiness
It has been that slow creep from silent defense shields in place to tiny snippets of less awkward conversation sometimes accompanied by an o...

As you can clearly see Humprey was looking dapper this morning when I checked on him on the way out the door for work. Stealing yet another...

Okay, I admit it... this is a recent bug I have had. Ever since starting to read Greg Laden's Blog I have become accutely aware of the ...

Some times my thoughts are like worms...wriggling and squirming through my brain, and no-one particularly likes them, other times the rich castings enhance my world, even if there is no-one else to appreciate the compost of my thoughts. I try to nourish the garden of my mind. The weeds creep in, and yet, the rose blooms. Even amidst the decay.
now THAT is nakedness! Bravo!
Now what say you join me in a toast to sisterhood!
:)
Ok, paint on, with all the hurt and healing, put it out there. Some people can deal with it, others can't. It's not up to you to get them there, all you can do is tell your journey. That's your voice in the world. These people that are the jury of your life, do they really know you? Does their opinion really matter when you are laying awake in the middle of the night wrestling with the demons of the past and the future? Hell no. You have the talent, and the boldness, and the voice, no more holding back, no more second guessing as to how people will receive, just throw it out there. It is not your responsibility to worry about how the masses will understand, or commend, or accept your art. Just throw your art out there, and the rest be damned. And that is life, and that is art. And you have something to say. So let it be heard.
Final thought before I go away again (I know I get carried away on your blog) the painting we talked about...how about incorporating Shiva...all those arms can hold knives, hearts, everything that symbolizes our relationship through the years. But the most important thing is that one pair of arms is wrapped around us both.
i think i am going to print those (*YOUR*) words out and hang them on my wall, to remind, to refresh, to motivate...and i wish more than anything right NOW that i could give you back the same in your native tongue (words) but i show up at the threshold of your need shamelessly lacking... i spoze it will have to be in the form of color, if i can do it at all...lord knows i wish i could elevate you to the point of creating with wild abandon - beyond your inflicted boundries.
i love you my sister!
Hmm, maybe Kali would be a more appropriate muse..check her out!! Ain't nobody messing with her! I'm all good, don't worry about me. Just paint. And the rest will take care of itself. And I'll have you know, I created with wild abandon...there are 2 signs in the center of Hartland that I painted...oh yes, please do not let your envy get the better of you..proclaiming to all a Christmas Carol Sing Along. You know, you'll get there, one day you might be called upon by the local women's club. Don't hate the player...hate the game.
WOW! I feel I'm intruding...so I'll just say, "HELLO!"
Inspiring tho!
In the cold unforgiving light of day one fact becomes glaringly apparent...I am an insufferable windbag. Oh my gawd back to the woods I go!
hee hee Cheryl you said "insufferable windbag." i am pleased to say i have thought of the perfect portrait of you! nanny nanny boo boo. I am mightily impressed with your ability to write pig Latin... i don't have that kind of patience.
Hootie I can't get that clip to load :( maybe they are too over loaded.
Mitch you KNOW it is always an open mic up in here, well all 'cept fer spammers be damned!
