WHA-HOO !!! Thank you, Thank you !!!

It's just absolutely fine - I love it.

Years ago, I came across some artists (I think they were Japanese) who had a philosophy that art should reflect the transitory aspects of life itself.
They would create beautiful pieces of art on the shore that would only last until the sea's tide rolled back in and the beach would then return to its own designs.

It seems like an urban interpretation of this philosophy - the painting only lasted until the city rolled in with their hoses, returning the urbanscape to its own designs .....

But thank goodness for the miracle of the camera - even tho' the actual painting has now literally returned to dust, there is preserved an image that allows me to refresh my memory, vividly, whenever I wish (like a good girl scout, I am preparing against my memory problems.. ).

Not only has a beautiful painting been preserved (obviously, I don't agree with that above described philosophy) but I love seeing an example of the creative beauty that lurks in both of my daughters .....

Love, Mom

Unfortunately I fear what is lurking inside me is a direct result of last night's food debauchery. I agree with your admiration of this artwork, I like it a lot too, the striking straightforwardnes and simplicity of her gaze surrounded by the complexity of designs around her. I also like the colors. To quote Borat "Very Nice!!!"
