Cheryl gave me this little armadillo years ago... I take him with me wherever I go. He has seen better days, on his trip to Nova Scotia he lost an ear. Here he watches over my progress on the square at Via Colori this past weekend.

Went out to your flickr pictures - your chalk paintig is huge - how long did it take you to do it? I love the intensity of color in those chalks. The butterflies are a beautiful addition to your Degas gal!!

The painting is 10'x10', I started at 9am and finished @3pm. People commented on how fast I worked, but I didn't take any breaks. I was worried I wouldn't finish by the end of the day... cut out a lot of the butterflies I had originally planned to do.
For the most part I was pleased with how she turned out. But I've been talking to Gordy about creating a mathematical program that generates the grid for 3-D representation in hopes that I could leverage that same perspective equation to work around the distortion that resulted in her looking so "busty" in photographs.
I am INCREDIBLY sore today: butt, legs and neck muscles... more so then when I was trying ashganda yoga!!
