Ha! That's so cool :) I've brought Harley into the kitchen while I was washing dishes, but he's still too nervous with new locations so he wasn't interested in playing. He is getting better though.

Dutch's beak is so nicely trimmed, I have to find someone who can do Harley's as I'm afraid it's getting too long.

Dutch is QUITE the character :-)

We have never had any of the bird's beaks trimmed as long as we have owned them, maybe because of having a mix of perch-types? Some of the perches have sort of a rough surface, like a fingernail file. Now toe-nails are a whole different story. Dot (the smaller macaw) could really use a nail trim.

When it comes to showers and playing with water, most of our birds enjoy getting wet. In fact, they kinda let you know when they want to be included in shower-time. On the other hand, the African Greys don't like showers at all but about once every two weeks they will play in their water bowls. I find that kind of interesting because the Greys seem to be ground-feeders whereas the other species seem to be canopy foragers. If the Grey's get wet, they can't get away from prey as well.
