This morning G went in for his first follow-up after his knee surgery last Friday. We were both very curious to see what it looked like as he is not allowed to take the bandage off. Well... we both were pretty grossed out and are all right with the fact that once they looked at it, cleaned it up and put a new bandage on it, we won't be seeing it again for another week.
We call it "Frankenknee" and asked the Doc how come he didn't install bolts on either side of it. Nurse said that since it was still draining they would leave the tube in until next week. My question is "who wouldn't drain if they had a hose stuck in 'em????"
hmmmmm...

JESUS JUMPIN CHRIST!
That's disgusting! Really appreciate you for sharing. Geez
Hahahahaa Mitch!! ya lilly-livered scallywag :D
thanks for the warning, Mitch - but believe me, I couldn't have said it any better!!
So nice and clean and tidy BUT what it does for my ickies ...
Hang in there, G!!
I think that earns him a lot more 'spoiling'!
Michael-Ann -- I just saw an ad on a satelite TV channel called "curnt". They have something called VCAM which stands for viewer created ad message.
There is a list of sponsers who will pay an individual $1000 if a sponser likes your ad for their listed product. I saw a couple of them and they can be quite quirky.
Their website with the info is www.current.com
The Dish Network channel number is 196 - I don't know what DirectTV's channel number is -or- if it it even on DirectTV ....
Good Morning - back to get an update on G's knee - hope it's healing well ....
While the stitches definitely bother my guts, it's the tube that really does a job on my eyes and "twangs" my guts!! I sure hope that tube is coated with ultra-teflon so when the doc tries to pull it out, it slides easily!!
I showed chelsea and she freaked out :)
ouch. better it drains out, than stays in and grows bacteria...not to mention the pressure it puts on all those sensitive nerve endings.
just lookin' at that makes my knee hurt, and my injuries were very slight in comparison. i had an acl repair, and it was all arthroscopic.
bless you both. geez. i wanna hug the stuffing outta you guys. i know that hurts. you be sure to let him know that he has a RIGHT to be snowed under with pain meds, and any nurses who claim otherwise are wannabe nazis!
♥
Ohmigod!
I originally got on the Internet to make sure all my links were still working. I haven't been on in ages. And what do I see? Mutilation, stitches and scars.
Seriously, though, you are both in my thoughts. Miss you, girl.
aw, poor Gordie!
jeepers, creepers!
